D&D: Adventures in Eberron - Heroes (We Could Be)

I waited until after my trip to Washington DC to do it, but I've joined another D&D group. This one meets every other Wednesday at The Gaming Warehouse in Grandville. That's the same place I was playing the Delta Green game and is in fact how I was exposed to this group. They run short sessions, 2.5 hours, and they've got a standing invitation for new players, so the number of players varries by session. I saw it running 8-players on the night we were playing Delta Green next to them. So, it could get interesting. Short sessions, lots of players, probably going to end up being a single set-up, combat, and cliff-hanger sort of session plan. But it gets me out of the house and playing games, so I'm down with that.

Which means, I have a new character to introduce you to...

For this game I wanted to play a cleric, a class that I've never played and since this is Eberron, he'll exist on a campaign world I've never played with. Also, let's just jump into the deep end of the pool and start this guy at 8th level.

Agent of House Orien | Cleric of the Sovereign of World and Wealth | Merchant Explorer

Wanderer of Paths Unknown, Finder of Opportunities Undreamed

He is a Brelish human with the Dragonmark of Passage and strong ties to House Orien. I imagine he is something more akin to a merchant explorer than a priest. Say that he is an agent of his house, with all the connections that implies. He is a merchant and transporter of goods, a spy, and a diplomat of sorts. Always a follower of the Sovereign Host and their teachings, he has found favor, purpose, and enlightenment in serving Kol Korran (God of Trade, God of Travel). Some would say he is more rogue than priest, but he is simply an agent of his house, a traveler on fates road, and a man looking always for his next opportunity.

I'm still figuring it all out, but that's a good start. This ain't going to be your mace-wielding, healer-type cleric. 😎

This week our fantastic DM will be continuing an adventure set in Eberron with level 8 characters. Deep in the jungle of Xen’drik, as we search for a giant hand we have been sought out by elven druids. They have beseeched us to cleanse their city of an ancient unread horticultural menace. The menace does not take kindly to our cleansing… join us as heroes do what heroes gotta do!
