Early Sunday D&D: No Session
Early Sunday D&D is on hiatus while our illustrious Dungeon Master is out of town, possibly traveling the world in search of inspiration for our continuing adventures. The adventures of Thergale the Verdant on this strange foreign world will continue, but during this break lets hear from our hero and learn a bit more about this powerful warlock.
"I came from nothing. I am the product of ale and opportunity. Children making children, conceived on dirty straw between the stalls of lowly beasts. Love or desperation, who can say. I am of impeccable lineage, born to a line that never rose above the like of serfs, peasants, villagers, and cottagers. When I left for other fields and farms that had need of strong backs and able hands, there were seven of us, my mother a ragged woman of 32 and my father a broken drunk just two years her senior."
"Pity and remorse, I don’t need the first and dismiss the latter. I was blessed with charm, resilience, and drive. I have made myself who I have become and done so through my own actions and decisions. I have taken fortunes from fools and lost them as foolishly. I have faced horrors you cannot imagine, traversed the forest paths of Fairyland, won a Fae Queen, and gathered about me such eldritch magics as guarantee I will never again face the plow and the cart. Call me warlock, adventurer, braggart, or opportunist, whatever you choose, I will not be the one forgotten in this company. I am sworn upon the Verdant Mother of the Dawn. Beloved of Lilliane. Wielder of the Verdant Blade. I am Thergale the Verdant. I am the immortal prince of the witchlight."
